MOMENT a pro-Putin separatist leader calls for chemical weapons to ‘smoke out’ Ukrainian defenders.
In an extraordinary TV demand, Eduard Basurin – deputy head of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic – appeared to urge that chemical weapons are used to “smoke moles out of their holes”.
Basurin claimed up to 4,000 Ukrainian fighters maybe taking shelter in the complex, one of Europe’s largest iron and steel works.
Other source say some 10,000 Russian troops are deployed seeking to capture the plant.
