Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as world’s most popular leader yet again. The recent approval ratings released by US-based global leader approval tracker – Morning Consult suggest that 71% of India’s adult population gave PM Modi the approval rating. Among the 13 leaders surveyed by the research firm, PM Modi tops the chart, followed by Mexico’s Andrés Manuel López Obrador with 66% and Italy’s Mario Draghi bagging the third spot with 60%. PM Modi also happens to have the lowest disapproval rating at 21%. British PM Boris Johnson is the most unpopular with 26% approval rating. US President Joe Biden and Canada’s Justin Trudeau got an approval rating of 43% each and ranked at 6th and 7th spot respectively. Morning Consult relies on real-time polling data on political elections, elected officials and voting issues to conduct surveys. The research firm conducts more than 20,000 global interviews daily with the adult population.
